charmhealth signs Gippsland Health Alliance

Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Services (GRICS) has partnered with Gippsland Health Alliance (GHA) and charmhealth to deliver an IT solution to support integrated cancer care activities throughout the Gippsland region.

charmhealth will deliver a solution to support and facilitate the electronic, multidisciplinary communication, sharing, recording and retrieval of patient medical and administrative information for cancer services in regional and rural Gippsland.

Implementation is now in progress with GHA planning a ‘Big Bang’ go-live across all sites early 2014.

GRICS is one of five regional integrated cancer services in Victoria established to develop service delivery structures that enable coordinated cancer planning and management.

Regional partners include:

  • Bairnsdale Regional Health Service

  • Central Gippsland Health Service

  • Gippsland Southern Health Service

  • Latrobe Regional Hospital

  • West Gippsland Healthcare Group

The key drivers for this project are to:

  • Improve efficiency of service provision across the region

  • Meet established KPI measures

  • Improve communication between staff

  • Reduce errors and standardisation of treatment protocols

  • Improve patient bookings across the region
